Your puppy or kitten’s vaccine schedule

Congratulations on your newest family member! We’re here to help you get started on the right paw.

When do kittens or puppies get their shots? Generally, it depends on their age, but our team at Benson View Veterinary Hospital will customize your pet’s vaccination schedule based on their lifestyle and risk factors. Keeping your adult pet healthy

Since pets age so much faster than we do, regular pet wellness exams are a key part of their care.

These yearly checkups allow us to evaluate their overall health, catching and treating any potential problems before they become serious. We’ll give your pet a complete physical and then discuss a personalized plan for vaccinations and parasite control based on their lifestyle.

Wellness care for their golden years

As our pets get older, they require extra care to stay happy and healthy. A simple blood and urine test can help us create a baseline for their health and catch any potential issues early.

While pets age at different rates, we consider dogs senior around age seven and cats around age eight. As dogs and cats age, they are prone to developing heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, osteoarthritis, hormonal conditions and cancer, but old age itself is not a disease.
